MANILA, Philippines — There are 61 deaths recorded and 173,000 families affected in the earthquake in Mindanao, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said.
As of June 14, the NDRRMC said there are 54 deaths recorded in Region 12, while seven deaths were recorded in Region 11.
There are also 11,403 individuals recorded, while 40 are missing.
The 173,000 families affected also translates to 724,000 individuals.
A total of 725 infrastructure facilities sustained damage, with the overall cost of infrastructure destruction reaching P1 billion.
Additionally, 54,000 houses were affected, consisting of 9,900 totally damaged and 44,100 partially damaged structures.
Consequently, 13 municipalities and cities have been placed under a state of calamity.
To support the affected families, the NDRRMC said that P67.6 million in total assistance has been provided.
