CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — After one week, the six remaining police officers accused of involvement in the rape and robbery of a Grade 9 student surrendered to authorities on Sunday.

The six – two corporals and four patrolmen – voluntarily gave themselves up to their superior in the Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) Special Operations Unit in Calabarzon.

Eight others were arrested inside the PDEG-4A office at Camp Vicente Lim on Nov. 22.
