All of the six rescued passengers of the small wooden hulled boat that capsized in the territorial waters of the seaside Datu Blah Sinsuat town in Maguindanao del Norte had safely returned to their barangays in the municipality.

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and civilian emergency responders promptly rescued six passengers of a wooden seacraft that capsized due to big waves in the territorial waters of Datu Blah Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte on Wednesday, July 29.
The sea mishap occurred about two miles off the beachfront of Barangay Pura, where the municipal government center of Datu Blah Sinsuat is located.
Local executives and officials of the Datu Blah Sinsuat Municipal Police Station told reporters on Saturday that personnel of the PCG and barangay leaders immediately brought the six passengers of the ill-fated small wooden boat to the rural health unit in Barangay Pura for medical examination.
Datu Blah Sinsuat Mayor Raida Tomawis-Sinsuat and her constituent-barangay leaders had separately thanked the personnel of the PCG Maguindanao del Norte, led by Lieutenant Commander John Paul Cabarrubias, for having responded promptly to the incident.
All of the six rescued boat passengers were provided with food and dry clothes by the Datu Blah Sinsuat LGU before policemen and PCG personnel facilitated their return to their barangays in the municipality.
