MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard called on mariners to be on the lookout for fix fisherfolk that were reported missing in the waters of Manay, Davao Oriental. 

The fisherfolk were initially reported missing on Friday, February 20. The PCG District Southeastern Mindanao listed them on Monday, February 23, as the following: 

  • Ignacio Manuel, 52
  • Cristobal Manuel, 27
  • Jose Sarajena, 70
  • Darwin Mag-aso, 43
  • Alejandro Dormal Jr., 48
  • Jacinto Pacyao, 56

The six fisherfolk were onboard the motorbanca Leizel. 

"All vessels, watercraft, and fisherfolk navigating within or near the said area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance and assist in search efforts," the Coast Guard said.

"Anyone who may have sighted the missing fishermen or the motor banca 'LEIZL' is urged to immediately report to the nearest Coast Guard Station," it added.
