Before minimalism became a mainstream lifestyle movement, Muji was already championing the concept. What began as a humble store in Tokyo’s Aoyama district in 1980 has since evolved into a global brand, offering over 7,000 thoughtfully designed products across more than 1,000 stores worldwide.

In the Philippines, Muji’s eight locations provide a wide range of offerings—from clothing and household essentials to food, furniture, and even interior design services. Its commitment to functionality and aesthetic simplicity reaches new heights with the opening of its flagship store in Makati City—Muji’s largest location in the country.

The launch of Muji Glorietta also marks the brand’s eighth anniversary in the Philippines. Spanning three expansive floors and covering approximately 2,600 square meters, the store features over 2,500 curated products, fan-favorite services, and new experiences that elevate the shopping journey for its Filipino customers.

1. Try its baked goodies
Muji Glorietta introduces a new highlight: its in-store bakery. Inspired by both Japanese and Filipino favorites, it serves fresh baked goods including pandesal, croissants, and ensaymada.

2. Shop everyday wear
Kick off the season with Muji’s new Linen collection, tailored for the Philippine climate. The collection includes breathable, lightweight tops, skirts, and pants made from washed linen, linen-cotton, and linen-blend twill fabrics.

3. Do some customization
Fan-favorite customization services are available at the flagship store, including Stamp and Embroidery. The Embroidery service lets customers personalize clothing, bags, hats, and shoes with over 200 embroidery designs and characters. 4. Lounge at the café
Following the success of its first Coffee Counter at Muji Central Square in 2022, the brand has unveiled its largest Coffee Counter yet. The expanded menu includes fresh breads, Curry Rice Meals, hot and cold beverages, and soft serve treats made with premium Hokkaido milk. Muji also supports local communities through partnerships with Filipino farmers and artisans—featuring Benguet coffee and locally crafted wooden furniture.

5. Explore the Muji exhibit
To deepen customer understanding of its brand philosophy, Muji has set up a “What is Muji?” exhibit on the ground floor. The display outlines the brand’s history, minimalist design ethos, and commitment to practical, high-quality products. Visitors can also explore iconic Muji items and learn more about its thoughtful manufacturing processes.

Muji Philippines’ flagship store is located in Glorietta 3 (Levels 1, 2, and 3), and is open daily—Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
