5 pushers yield 7 kilos of shabu in Bulacan ops

PERSONNEL from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-National Capital Region Northern District Office and other law enforcement agencies arrested five drug suspects who yielded seven kilos of shabu during buy-bust operation in a subdivision in Malolos, Bulacan on Saturday evening.

The arrested suspects were identified as Jocelyn Dalagan, 46; Carlos Dalagan, 41, married, driver; Shan Carl Dalagan, 19, single, working student; and Russel Begelia 20, single, student who are all residents of Maunlad Homes in Barangay Tikay, Malolos City where the anti-drugs operation was carried out by PDEA-NCR Northern District Office in coordination with Bulacan Police Provincial Office and the Malolos City Police Office.

The other suspect arrested in the operation was identified as Christine Kate Eugenio 21, single, student, and a resident of 86 Purok 1, Mabolo, Malolos City.

Among the evidence initially found in the possession of one of the suspects was a piece of opened brown-gold foil pack with Chinese characters labelled "Freeso-dried Durien" containing one piece of vacuum sealed transparent plastic containing 1000 grams of shabu with a standard price of P1,200,000.

Subsequent search by the raiding team resulted in the discovery of six pieces of brown-gold foil pack with Chinese characters labelled "Freeso-dried Durien" containing 6000 grams of shabu valued at P7.2 million.

The total amount of the illegal drugs confiscated in the operation is P8.4 million.

Also recovered from the suspects were one piece of genuine one thousand peso bill with serial number F5843188 incorporated with 12 pieces of one thousand peso bundle of boodle money used as buy-bust money, an identification card, NBI clearance, two Android cellphones, a pair of scissors and one aqua green paper bag.

The arrested suspects are now under the custody of PDEA for proper documentation.
