Ahtisa Manalo's comeback to the Miss Universe Philippines stage was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing the growth, grace, and grit of a seasoned queen.
From her outstanding looks to her heartfelt answer, the Quezon Province bet proved that she was destined for the prestigious Miss Universe Philippines crown and that she has what it takes to represent the country once again on the global stage.
Here are five of Ahtisa’s standout moments during the coronation night held on Friday evening.
A vibrant opening production look that set the stage
Right from the opening number, Ahtisa already stood out with her vibrant and eye-catching look that combined cheerful and festive colors.
Her dress came with layered and ruffled panels that swayed with her every move, channeling energy and confidence and immediately setting the tone for the rest of her performance.
Swimsuit round domination
Ahtisa dominated the swimsuit competition with her toned physique and confident aura, proving her versatility onstage.
She kicked off her pasarela with a smooth twirl and ended with a captivating smize, flaunting her hourglass silhouette and leaving the crowd in awe of her commanding presence.
Ahtisa’s graceful recovery after a heart-stopping fall
During the evening gown competition, Ahtisa entered the stage looking like a real-life doll wearing a glamorous pink gown with intricate beadwork by Val Taguba.
But as she made her way down from the stairs, Ahtisa tripped and briefly fell to the floor.
This, however, did not deter her. Ahtisa rose with grace, smiled, and continued her walk, which made the crowd erupt in support.
Ahtisa’s fall turned what could’ve been a setback into a defining moment of strength.
Heartfelt answer
Ahtisa delivered a moving answer during the question and answer portion, tying her onstage fall to a deeper message of resilience and purpose.
The question was: “They say that a good leader leads by example. Tell us about one event in your life when you led by example and the impact it made.”
In response, Ahtisa said: “I fell a while ago on stage. And the thing with me is, whenever I fall in life, I always make sure I come back stronger. Last year, I was here on this stage and for the second time this year, I’m here putting everything on this stage to be Miss Universe Philippines because this is mine and my grandmother’s shared dream. And she passed away early this year. And this is my ode to her.”
5 special awards
Aside from the prestigious national crown, Ahtisa also took home five special awards.
Ahtisa was named Miss Zonrox Colorsafe, Miss Vitress, Miss Mags, Miss Jewelmer, and Miss Hello Glow, further cementing her status as a standout candidate even during their pre-coronation night activities.
