MANILA, Philippines — Four executives made Fortune Magazine’s 100 Most Powerful Women in Asia for 2026, with the president and CEO of soon-to-be listed e-wallet giant GCash topping the Filipina business leaders on the roster.
Martha Sazon of GCash, Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso of Megaworld Corp., Lynette Ortiz of Land Bank of the Philippines and Ana Maria Aboitiz-Delgado of Union Bank of the Philippines are included on this year’s list.
Sazon landed at No. 35, up two spots from last year’s No. 37, and remains the highest-ranking Filipina on the list.
Mynt, the parent company of GCash, will debut on the stock market on Oct. 20 in an IPO that aims to raise as much as P60.9 billion.
Ortiz, the 11th president and CEO of Land Bank of the Philippines, came in at No. 77 in this year’s list, down from 72nd in 2025.
She was followed by Gutierrez-Alfonso, president and CEO of property giant Megaworld, who strengthened her standing among Asia’s most influential business leaders at No. 87, rising from No. 92 the previous year.
Gutierrez-Alfonso, who has been with the company since it was founded in the late 1980s, oversees Megaworld’s extensive portfolio of townships, offices, lifestyle developments and hospitality assets.
At 98th place is Delgado, president and CEO of UnionBank. This was down from her position at No. 94 in 2025.
A fifth-generation member of the Aboitiz family, Delgado joined UnionBank in 2003.
The number of female business leaders from the country who made Fortune’s 100 Most Powerful Women in Asia list has dropped from seven in the inaugural list in 2024 to five in 2025 and four this year.
The prestigious list recognizes women leaders whose measurable impact, strategic influence and leadership are shaping the future of business across the region.
The distinguished roster spans 14 markets across Southeast Asia, Greater China, India, Japan, South Korea and Australia.
With business power across Asia-Pacific shifting, Fortune said this year’s Most Powerful Women Asia list captures the women at the forefront of that change.
Honorees include CEOs, chairs and C-suite leaders at large companies, regional champions and founders of high-growth ventures.
