3 Nigerians arrested for illegal drugs

BACOOR CITY, Cavite — Three Nigerians allegedly involved in illegal drugs trade were collared during two simultaneous buy-bust here on Feb. 28.

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-RO4A) and (PDEA RO) Cavite Provincial Office confiscated about P10 million worth of ecstasy tablets and shabu from suspects identified as Ikechukwu D Owoh alias Ik, 30 years old, student, of Progressive 3 Village, Barangay Molino 1, Bacoor City; Stanley Chinedu Emone, 34, an evangelist pastor of Magdiwang Road, Barangay Molino in Bacoor City, Cavite; and Keneth Chukwudi Divine, 23, jobless, and resident of Block 4 Lot 8 Magdiwang Road in Barangay Molino 2, Bacoor City.

Based on the report, Emone and Ikechukwu were the first to be arrested in a buy-bust at the Flying V gas station in front of Doc's Farmacia in Barangay Molina 1 at around 8:40 p.m. on Friday.

In another buy-bust, Keneth, was arrested at Block 4 Lot 8 on Magdiwang Road in Barangay Molino 2, Bacoor City, at around 11:30 p.m.

The raiding team was composed of Marcial Calubaquib, team leader of PDEA RO 4A RSET 1; Raffy Escobido, team leader of PDEA RO4A RSET2; Brenda Polisco, team leader of the PDEA RO Cavite Provincial Office; and PMSg Rollis Gonzaga, team leader of the PNP Maritime Police Station.

The authorities confiscated from the suspects in the two operations about 4,663 ecstasy pills of different colors worth P10 million.

Also seized from the suspects were several plastic bags of powder ecstasy, plastic bags of shabu, two unit weighing scales, Nigeria passports, three cell phones and a Hyundai Metallic Gray car with license plate NED 1776.

The suspects have been turned over for inquest proceedings at the Office of Prosecutors' of Bacoor City, where the investigation continued.
