CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan , Philippines – Three people were arrested for allegedly stealing 200 liters of diesel worth P25,000 from a dump truck in San Ildefonso, Bulacan on Tuesday.
The suspects – identified only as Jul, Onad and Manny – reportedly carried out the theft at around 1 a.m.
Probers said the suspects were caught siphoning fuel from the truck parked along the road in Barangay Palapala.
Video footage of a closed-circuit television camera installed in the area showed the suspects transferring the fuel to a white Hyundai car.
Based on records of the Land Transportation Office, the car is owned by a resident of Rodriguez town in Rizal.
Police have yet to arrest another suspect who fled after sensing the arrival of the officers.
