MANILA, Philippines — At least 3,264 of 6,294 students passed the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination given this month, the Professional Regulation Commission announced.
The PRC said 100 of 120 examinees also passed the Certified Plant Mechanics Computer-Based Licensure Examination.
Based on the results, the University of the Philippines-Diliman led the top-performing schools category for institutions with 50 or more examinees, posting a 100-percent passing rate with 64 passers.
Other schools with at least an 80 percent passing rate include the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas, Batangas State University-Alangilan, Pangasinan State University-Urdaneta and Bulacan State University-Malolos.
For schools with 10 or more examinees and at least 80 percent passing rate, Technological University of the Philippines-Manila ranked first with a 91.67-percent passing rate, followed by Capiz State University PSPC-Main Campus with 85 percent.
The examinations were administered by the Board of Mechanical Engineering at centers across the country, including the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Zamboanga and Puerto Princesa in Palawan.
