SILANG, Cavite — Personnel from various law-enforcement agencies raided a Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) hub in a resort in this town on Wednesday, resulting in the arrest of 29 foreigners, mostly Chinese.
The raid was conducted by elements of the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and Cavite Police at around 3:30 p.m. in a resort in Brgy. Lalaan 2nd, Silang, Cavite, after days of surveillance.

Cavite Police Provincial Office director Col. Dwight Alegre said that the raiders caught the 29 foreigners conducting actual scams through computers for online transaction at the rented four-story building inside the unspecified resort.
The authorities said the leader of the group, whose name was withheld, was also arrested.
The police recovered at least 500 different SIM cards at the hub.

According to Alegre, the said hub is a "guerrilla type" POGO.
Of the arrested suspects, six are from Myanmar while 23 are from Mainland China.
