CITY OF MALOLOS – The 266 elected local officials in the province of Bulacan, led by Gov. Daniel Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis Castro, took their oath of office during the “Pasinaya at Pagtatalaga sa Tungkulin ng Lahat ng Bagong Halal na Opisyal sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan” at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium on Sunday.
Fernando and Castro took their oath before Bulacan Regional Trial Court (RTC) Executive Judge Hermenegildo Dumlao II. They were accompanied by their respective families during the ceremony.

Fernando, the people's governor, laid out the ongoing initiatives and goals for his third term in office. He also asked for unity and cooperation from the 86 newly elected, 139 reelected and 41 returning officials.
These flagship programs include ongoing housing projects for Bulakenyos through the Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development Pabahay Program and Global Homes Consortium, the visionary Bulacan Mega City Project, and the establishment of a waste-to-energy facility.

He also highlighted the Bulacan Technohub and Innovation Center which is currently under construction, the modernization of the Bulacan Medical Center and other district hospitals, vital river restoration and dredging projects, and the development of the Bulacan Farmer's Productivity Center and Bulacan Animal Breeding Center and Multiplier Farm.
“Marami na tayong nasimulan ngunit marami pa tayong kailangang gawin. Hindi ko po ito makakayang mag-isa. Magtulungan po tayo (We have started a lot but we still have a lot to do. I can't do this alone. Let's work together),” said the governor, encouraging his fellow public servants.
Despite facing numerous criticisms during the recent campaign, Fernando expressed confidence in the democratic process and the trust the people of Bulacan has placed in him.
“Nanaig pa rin ang katotohanan at ang tinig ng mga Bulakeyo. Binigyan tayo ngayon ng panibagong pagkakataon na maglingkod at magtaas ng antas ng ating serbisyo sa mga Bulakenyo (The truth and the voice of the Bulakenyos still prevailed. We are now given another opportunity to serve and raise the level of our service to the Bulakeyo),” said Fernando, who holds the greatest number of votes among elected governors of the province, said.

Castro, who will serve as vice governor for the second term, vowed to champion meaningful policies for the Bulakenyo.
“Panahon na upang tayo’y magtatag ng mahigpit, makatarungan, at makakalikasang mga batas at ordinansa na tunay na magtatanggol sa interes ng bawat pamilyang Bulakenyo, mula sa kalunsuran hanggang sa kanayunan (It is time for us to establish strict, just, and environmentally friendly laws and ordinances that will truly protect the interests of every Bulacan family, from urban to rural areas),” said Castro, who is also the presiding officer of the Provincial Board.
Castro extended his gratitude to Fernando, acknowledging his trust and the opportunity to realize his aspirations for the province.
“Katuwang mo ako sa iyong adhikain para sa ating lalawigan. Nakaukit na sa pahina ng kasaysayan ang iyong kadakilaan. Magkasama tayong gumawa ng kasaysayan (I am your partner in your aspirations for our province. Your greatness is engraved in the pages of history. Let us make history together),” Castro added.
The seven district representatives, 14 board members, 24 mayors, 24 vice mayors and councilors from all over the province also took their oath of office during the event, marking an new chapter for Bulacan’s leadership.
