COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Two people were killed while a barangay kagawad was wounded in an attack by unidentified assailants in Nabalawag, Cotabato before dawn yesterday.
The fatalities – Nurhani Tayuan and an alias Pikong – died at the scene of the attack, which occurred in Barangay Kudarangan. Tayuan’s husband, Saddam Abdullah, was wounded in the incident.
Probers said the gunmen arrived in the village and fired shots at houses in the neigborhood.
Police have yet to determine the motive for the attack.
