A MALE and a female riding in tandem were killed after they were shot several times by a man also riding a motorcycle in Barangay Lambakin, Marilao, Bulacan, early Tuesday, April 8.
Police identified one of the victims as "Edwin," a resident of Northville 4B, Barangay Lambakin, Marilao, Bulacan. The identity of the woman, who was in her 20s, is still being determined.
Based on initial reports, the shooting occurred around 12 midnight on Tuesday, just a few meters away from the male victim's house.
It was learned that the male victim, together with the unidentified woman, had just left his house when the assailant on a motorcycle suddenly appeared.
The gunman, wearing long sleeves and a face mask, got off a black MIO motorcycle and pulled out a.45 caliber gun and repeatedly fired at the victims.

The victims sustained fatal gunshot wounds that resulted in their instantaneous death.
The gunman fled toward Meycauayan City.
According to Marilao Police, follow-up operations are ongoing to determine if the two victims were involved in any illegal drug transaction in the area, especially after 38 sachets of shabu were found in the male victim's pocket.
A.45 caliber firearm and some drug paraphernalia were also recovered from the male victim's motorcycle.

Meanwhile, anti-illegal drug operatives seized some P27.2 million worth of shabu from a big-time pusher during a buy-bust operation in Sibulan, Negros Oriental, on Wednesday, April 9.
Lt. Stephen Polinar, spokesman of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (Noppo), told the Philippine News Agency that the operation stemmed from "lengthy intelligence efforts" targeting the suspect.
The police identified the target pusher as Elgin Caday Rodriguez, 50, a resident of Barangay 2 in Bais City, who was arrested at around 6 a.m. in Purok 6, Barangay Maslog.
Police recovered roughly 4 kilograms of shabu from his possession.
The raid was conducted by the police and personnel of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit.
Polinar said the investigation is ongoing to determine the origin of the "shabu" and its source.
