CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan , Philippines — The bodies of two siblings believed to have drowned were recovered in the town of San Ildefonso in this province on Tuesday afternoon.
The victims, identified only as April, 13, and, Angelo, 14, were last seen on Sunday, swimming in an irrigation canal in Barangay Anyatam.
Members of the local police and the municipal disaster councils of San Ildefonso and San Miguel launched a search and rescue operation after receiving reports about the incident.
The victims were positively identified by their mother, according to acting Bulacan police director Col. Jay Baybayan.
