THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) delivered prompt psychosocial support and protection to the 10 rescued minors who were victims of human trafficking in Sual, Pangasinan.
"These children have been through traumatic experiences and require safety, emotional healing, and long-term support," Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said on Friday.
"Secretary Rex Gatchalian has ordered immediate assistance for their recovery and reintegration into their families and communities," she added.
The rescue operation was led by the National Bureau of Investigation's (NBI) Cybercrime Division and Special Task Force on May 1, with support from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Sual, Pangasinan.
The 10 minors were provided temporary shelter at the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), where social workers conducted needs assessments and delivered initial psychosocial interventions.
