COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A rider died while his two relatives were injured when their motorcycle crashed into a backhoe in Datu Unsay, Maguindanao del Sur on Friday.
John Minted died at the scene of the accident while his relatives, Ugay and Joel, were rushed to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
Investigation showed the men were on their way home on a motorcycle when they figured in the accident in Barangay Maitumaig.
Probers expressed belief that the driver lost control of the wheel, causing the motorcycle to hit the backhoe that was parked along the road.
